I've known Josie for over six years now, and what a journey it’s been! We first crossed paths as fellow design and technology teachers, where she took over my role at the first school I taught at. Even after I moved on, we stayed in touch, sharing our experiences and keeping the friendship alive.

When Josie got engaged to her long-term love, Olivia, I was absolutely thrilled! They’re both huge Taylor Swift fans, so I knew their wedding would have a touch of magic. Josie reached out, asking if I could create a fabric sign for their special day. She wanted something feminine and luxurious, something that would truly reflect their style and love for each other. I was over the moon to help!

I set to work on a custom sign featuring my hand-drawn calligraphy. I really wanted to capture the essence of their relationship, so I incorporated soft colours and elegant designs. It was such a joy to create something that would play a part in their celebration. I could just imagine the sign hanging beautifully at their wedding, welcoming guests and adding that special touch to the day.

When the big day arrived, I was buzzing with excitement to see how it all came together. Josie later shared her thoughts with me, saying, “The sign is incredible, thank you so much, Alice! We got so many compliments; it made for a really special touch.” Hearing that made all the effort worth it!

It was lovely to see Josie and Olivia surrounded by friends and family, celebrating their love in a way that was so uniquely them. I felt honoured to contribute to such a special occasion, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two wonderful women!
